Q: Why is there a small time gap between the recordings file?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A: If the “storage” is set to over write there may be a time gap between the recordings when the old files are deleted.<\/p>\n

Q: When I change the time of a scheduled recording it does not change why?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

A: Before you can change a recording time you must first reset it to From 00:00 to 00:00then you will be able to change it.<\/p>\n

Q. What player software should I use to playback the recording files?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

A: You can use popular MPEG-4 player, i.e. Windows Media Player, VLC etc.<\/p>\n

Windows Media player is the most popular to play back the video, you will need to download the K-lite Codec for WMP, this can be found online at www.free-codecs.com or you may search for the download. though we have found the VLC is the best choice.<\/p>\n

\n

Q: How long can date\/time last without outer power supply?<\/strong><\/p>\n

A: RTC battery can last for 3 months without power supply (including battery power supply)<\/p>\n

\n

Q: How do play video files on a MAC<\/strong><\/p>\n

A: You must use VLC media player, if you don’t have VLC media player you may download it from any online freeware site.<\/p>\n

\n

Q. On the SleuthGear HVR’s, what does FAST, FASTER, FASTEST mean under the sensitivity menu option?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

A. You could select the speed of MOTION TRIGGER snapshot (JPG) in MENU -> SENSITIVITY -> HIGH -> FASTEST (1.x seconds) \/ FASTER (2 seconds) \/ FAST (2.5 seconds). This is referring to the frame rate of the J-peg recording being able to record either 1 frame every 1 sec, 2 sec, or 2.5 sec.<\/p>\n

Q. How do I set the Scheduled Recording for my Sleuth Gear HVR or Recluse Tissue Box?
\n<\/strong>
\nA. See or Print Quick Guide below for step by step instructions.<\/p>\n

QUICK GUIDE TO SET YOUR SLEUTH GEAR HVR\u2019S SCHEDULED RECORDING FUNCTION
\n<\/strong>
\n1. Press the MENU button on your remote control
\n2. Set the time and date
\n3. After the time and date is set access \u201cSchedule Setting\u201d
\n4. Press OK on the Remote control to bring up the SCHEDULE SET UP
\n5. Scheduled time will be set to 00:00 to 00:00 as a default, by selecting OK and then FINISH the scheduled time will be wiped clean.
\n6. Re- Enter the SCHEDULE SET UP
\n7. Use the directional arrows on the remote to highlight the SCHEDULE TIME and change 00:00 to your desired start time. NOTE: the system uses GST
\n8. After setting the start time use the right directional arrow on your remote and set the stop time. example: 08:00 to 17:00 GST = (8am to 5pm)
\n9. Select OK
\n10. Select FINISH
\n11. The Sleuth Gear HVR is now scheduled to record Sun \u2013 Sat from 8a.m. to 5p.m.
\n12. Repeat these steps to set a different schedule.<\/p>\n

Q. What power source does the Sleuthgear Recluse<\/a> run off<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

A: The Recluse can run either through the power of its AC adapter, or the rechargeable battery included with the product.<\/p>\n

Q. Will the Recluse power an external camera<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

A. Yes, the Recluse can power and external camera up to 9 volts, only when using the provided power supply.<\/p>\n
