Small or Large, business owners know the importance of safety and security in the workplace. Keeping your workplace safe is much easier and cost effective than most people think. Hidden cameras and wireless security camera systems usually pay for themselves and end up making money for the business in the long run, while many other safety prevention steps can be done at no cost at all.<\/p>\n

Here is a quick list of ways to improve your overall business and office safety.<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Designate one responsible person to open and close (lock and unlock) the office each day. If you use a biometric finger print lock, try to allow one person other than yourself to have administrative access.
\n2. Do not open your store or business during non business hours
\n3. Maintain a well lit interior and exterior in your workplace
\n4. Maintain a record of decoy or bait currency <\/a>to be handed to a thief or robber.
\n5. Try not to block windows with advertising of merchandise (as much as possible)
\n6. Vary your routine for things like bank deposits
\n7. Consider using a drop safe if there is to be a lot of cash on the premises.
\n8. Keep cash exposure low to all staff and\/or clients\/customers and word tends to get out.
\n9. Do not keep checks and cash together.
\n10. Do not go to the bank alone, and try not to go during non day light hours.
\n11. Make sure any alarm system, chimes, or auto dialers are fully powered in working order
\n12. Instruct all employees in use of the alarm system
\n13. Assign each employee a different task in a robbery
\none to call the police
\none to make observations about the robber
\none to protect the evidence at the scene of the crime
