  • Call the police immediately after the robber leaves
  • Protect the scene of the crime and prevent others from disturbing the scene
  • Not touch anything the robbers touched or left behind
  • Ask all witnesses to remain until the police arrive
  • Lock the doors and not allow anyone in except the police
  • Write down all information immediately

15. Try using a tape measure and masking tape to make height markers on the door frame as a way to help identify a potential robbers height.
16. Be sure your video monitoring equipment is operating and that memory cards in dvrs and self recording units are not full.
